ELIXIR’S Rudder Pin Fix

Here are the "before" and
"after" pictures of the bottom pin on ELIXIR's rudder. I did the
standard repair with a 5/8" bolt tapped into the rudder stock and a new
bushing in the shoe. By fabricating a drilling jig, I was able to do the repair
without pulling the rudder.

MK-II Yawl SHEARWATER. We used the same ‘fix’
as Joran, with the addition of a silicon bronze ‘thrust’ washer between the
