I installed six new bronze portlights from New Found Metal of Washington st. on my A 37. The quality and apparance is excellent and the price was right. Removing the original portlights required a couple of pry bars and the chemical spray to disolve the 5200 sealant (sold at West Marine). New Found Metal furnishes a templet and a double drill bit, which I highly recommend. I used a jigsaw to trim the hole out and the only problem I had was that on some the 2 layers/core sandwich would separate. I added exposy and clamped them then filed to fit the portlight. The company recomends using a gasket seal available from auto part stores. Bronze and stainless are available in many sizes and you can order SS on outside and bronze on inside. The portlights have a different location for the hanging chain so I glassed on small wood's blocks to hold them. I am very happy with this upgrade and wish you the same. Another nice thing I have done is install a 10x10 Bomar hatch over the head which required making a glass frame with a 1" on the port side. marc, (folie douce)
