I am rebuilding my A37 (1972) Mark II ice box and I am grateful for the info I have gotten so far. I am hopping that someone can tell me what I will find if I cut into the bottom of the box, a few inches outside (starboard) of theflat area. I started cutting into the upward curve and found solid glass. Am I cutting into the hull or is there a space below ? I would also like to know the best way to lift off the counter. My plan is to have a 13" wide and 34" long ice box and a second compartiment outside(starboard) for provisions storage. I plan to install Glacier Bay pannels and top. Any help is greatly apreciated. Also I replaced my portlights and anyone who wants my old ones can have them if they pay the shipping. Marc
