Removing an outboard from the lazarette is no easy job even with a lift. It is a knuckle-buster to tighten and loosen the outboard. You still have the problem of the outboard prop leaving the water, the waterpump losing water, and overheating. It does not take as much chop for this to occur, even with a long shaft motor.
