Garth: We just redid our refrigerator last year. We were re-doing our counters and prior to refinishing drilled holes around the box and added expanding foam. Like you we had the molded insulation also but found voids particularly underneath the box. In addition, we added 3" hardboard type insultion inside the box and covered it with arborite. Yes, it shrinks the box slightly but we didn't find it to be a major problem. If we have any problem now the box is too cold and frost our new E-Z cold holding plate unit. Like you we tried to ensure 4" or more everywhere. Good luck.
